Apoyando a las comunidades de habla y ELA/EMN en ASHA y el Foro de Profesionales Afines

Members of the ElevenLabs Impact Program team recently attended two cornerstone events in the speech and assistive technology field, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention and the Allied Professionals Forum hosted by the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations.

Both ASHA and the Allied Professionals Forum brought together clinicians, researchers, technologists, and advocates dedicated to improving communication access for people with speech and motor impairments.

Connecting with the global speech and assistive technology community

ASHA is one of the largest annual conferences for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and communication scientists. It’s where new clinical practices, technologies, and research findings are shared with thousands of professionals shaping the future of human communication.

At the Allied Professionals Forum, we joined people with ALS (pALS), colleagues, and global leaders in the ALS/MND communities to explore how technology can extend independence and connection for people living with voice loss.

Masterclass in accessible voice cloning

Together with our partners at Bridging Voice, including Karina Nagin and Trinity Deibert, we conducted a 2.5-hour masterclass on end-to-end voice cloning using ElevenLabs. The session provided hands-on training for pALS, clinicians, and caregivers, showing how they can create a digital voice and access a free ElevenLabs Pro account through the Impact Program.

Each participant left with their own ElevenLabs account and an Instant Voice Clone, ready to use. For many, it was their first opportunity to preserve or restore their voice, enabling more natural communication with loved ones and caregivers.

Giving back 1 million voices globally

Through the ElevenLabs Impact Program, we’ve committed to giving back one million voices to individuals with permanent voice loss. We’re actively connecting with organizations, clinicians, and advocacy groups around the world to make sure our reach is not geographically limited. This mission drives every Impact Program partnership, training, and deployment, ensuring our technology works for those who depend on it most, regardless of region or language.

Interacting directly with patients at these events gives us crucial feedback. Hearing their experiences firsthand helps us refine our technology to make it more intuitive, reliable, and meaningful for the people who rely on it.

Looking ahead to ATIA

Stay tuned for an official schedule and details on how you can participate.

Our goal remains clear: to make advanced voice technology freely accessible to everyone without a voice, and to be present with the communities who rely on it, because voice is more than sound. It’s identity, connection, and independence.
